Tips for Organizing Efficient Processor Cooling:

since the components will be placed in a case, you should familiarize yourself with its specification and determine the location of the ventilation holes, the number of built-in fans, and the ability to install various cooling options (air, liquid, etc.). If the case contains glass panels with no holes in them, it is necessary to consider in advance how the heat will be exchanged to avoid the system overheating;
in order to choose the most efficient processor cooling, it is important to know the TDP of both the processor and the chosen cooling system, as well as its design parameters, namely the height of the heat sink with heatpipes. To do this, it is enough to familiarize yourself with the device specifications. It is necessary to plan the placement of the air cooling system in the case so that there is a free space of 2-3 mm between the side panel of the case and the heatpipes of the cooler. Also, it is important to consider the shape of the air cooling radiator and make sure that the design elements do not interfere with the components on the motherboard. For compact cases with CPU cooling height restrictions, you should choose a low profile cooler model or liquid cooling;
the presence and number of heatpipes significantly affects the cooling efficiency. The liquid in the heatpipes heats up and turns into steam, removes excess heat from the processor to the outside on an aluminum radiator, returns to its original state in the form of condensation. Four or more heatpipes are the optimal number for a tower-style air cooler;
before starting the system, it is important to check whether the fans (for blowing in and blowing out) are installed correctly: the air is renewed through the front/partially the bottom panel, and the heated air is exhausted through the top and rear panels. It is necessary to pay attention to the presence of dust filters that prevent contamination of the interior of the case and the ability to clean the fans or replace them without excessive effort.

Zalman CNPS9X Performa Processor Cooling Systems Range

It’s worth noting that the Zalman Performa series of air cooling systems has been noteworthy and popular for many years. Moreover, the secret of its appeal is a successful combination of performance and affordable price.

The Zalman CNPS9X Performa CPU cooling system with a verified design, special black coating of the radiator and heatpipes, has a quiet fan with a special Vortex Breaker Blade (VBB) shape that helps create active airflow and efficient heat dissipation.

The TDP of all modifications is 180W. The air cooling systems are compatible with modern AMD and Intel sockets without additional mounts. Everything you need for installation is included.

Three versions of the Zalman CNPS9X Performa CPU cooling system are available: CNPS9XPERFORMABLACK in black without backlight, CNPS9XPERFORMAARGBBLACK in black and CNPS9XPERFORMAARGBWHITE in white respectively with ARGB backlight.

Materials and Design Features

It is based on a tower-type aluminum radiator with an optimal height of 157 mm, with thin, even plates and a well-thought-out rational design for active heat dissipation without obstacles. The cooler is easy to install in modern cases. The optimal height of the air cooling system is from 157 to 160 mm.

The surface of the plates and copper tubes has a special black coating in the CNPS9XPERFORMABLACK and CNPS9XPERFORMAARGBBLACK models and white in the CNPS9XPERFORMA ARGBWHITE model, which is applied by electrophoretic spraying of dispersed particles. This coating improves heat dissipation through radiation and protects the surface of the product from corrosion, looks stylish and emphasizes the shape of the design.

The symmetrical arrangement of the four copper heatpipes is designed to maximize compatibility with motherboards of various designs and layouts. The cooler will not interfere with other system components. This feature of the layout contributes to the formation of separate air channels. Overall, the total heat dissipation area is 6,510 cm².

Application of DTH Technology

The copper heatpipes are in direct contact with the CPU and are spaced at an optimal distance from each other. The CPU cooler is manufactured using DTH (Direct Thermal Transfer Technology), which is used to increase heat dissipation and improve cooling performance.

Fan Features

The CNPS9XPERFORMABLACK has a 120 mm PWM fan with Vortex Breaker Blade (VBB) blades that are shaped like a bird’s wing. This feature helps to create an active airflow and efficient heat dissipation from the radiator surface. Pulse width modulation controls automatically adjust the fan speed depending on changes in CPU temperature. This, in turn, helps to reduce noise levels and ensures optimal performance.

The CNPS9XPERFORMAARGBBLACK and CNPS9XPERFORMAARGBWHITE 120 mm ARGB PWM fan features a similar Vortex Breaker Blade (VBB) type and connection design: 4pin fan and +5V 3 pin ARGB backlight.

The fan noise level for all models does not exceed 28 dBA. The fan is based on a hydraulic bearing, which guarantees its long service life (50,000 hours) at maximum load. Special rubber pads in the corners of the frame are designed to reduce vibration during active fan operation. They are made of medium hardness material, are sufficiently dense, do not wear out, and do not deform during use.

Mounting the Air Cooling System

The mounting system of the cooler is made of hardened steel, has a durable galvanic coating or a black matte paint finish. The second type of coating is present on the entire surface of the radiator, except for the base. The air cooling system is easy to install and dismantle. The package includes high-performance Zalman ZM-STC8 thermal paste with a thermal conductivity of 8.3W/m-K.
